liberal verses conservative, jesus style.

in this Jesus camp atmosphere of modern politics, we have forgotten that Jesus was in fact, the first liberal. i find it sadly ironic that this battle between "good" and "evil" is coloring our political discourse in a time that is so pivotal in our nation's history. i claim no understanding of the mentality of the evangelical right, in fact, i am agnostic but i think this level of animosity towards liberals is not constructive. on the other hand, our instinctive recoiling from the conservative point of view cannot be constructive either. we must find common ground. speaking of religion, here is one just for fun.
